Amelia Fandrey, MS, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Amelia Fandrey received her Master’s Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Marriage and Family Therapy; she attained her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Florida Atlantic University. She is a dynamic leader who has motivated countless adults, couples, teens, children and families to first recognize the process of what is working in one’s life and then how to expand on and maximize one’s abilities to achieve desired goals. Amelia works from a postmodern perspective and practices Narrative, Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral therapy. She believes that enhancing one’s abilities can create more opportunities in life and this usually begins with the process of making one small change; however, small change is not easy and requires hard work.

Amelia has been working with individuals, couples and families and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Florida. She has experience providing clinical services to adults, couples, families, children and adolescents in various settings. Amelia has worked individually and in group settings with a clinically-diverse population of clients. Her focus includes working with clients who are dealing with issues centered around substance abuse addictions, co-addictions, eating disorders, codependency related issues, grief and loss related issues, mental illness, dual diagnosis, self-esteem issues, parent-child conflict, anger management, communication skills, couple conflicts, domestic violence, trauma, female and male survivors of sexual abuse, individuals whom have committed sexual offenses and family violence.

“It is an honor and a gift to see the transformations that patients can obtain when they work on what works.  By noticing their own exceptions, sparkling moments, they can create change within their life. They are their own experts and I am privileged to assist them on their journey to balance”
